Trauma Intensives
What is a Trauma Intensive?
Trauma intensives offer a focused, extended time to work through experiences that haven’t fully resolved in traditional weekly sessions. This format allows for deeper, more efficient progress—helping you process what’s been stuck and begin to move forward with greater clarity and relief.
This work is thoughtful, structured, and paced to meet you where you are, with attention to both depth and stability throughout the process. It can be done independently or in conjunction with weekly therapy.
What to expect
❋ Assessment - 90 minutes
This can be done virtually or in-person. You will be asked to complete paperwork prior to our session. During the assessment, we will create a roadmap for our extended trauma session.
❋ Trauma Processing Session
You can select from a half day that includes a 3 hour session, one full day that includes up to 6 hours, or two 6-hour days that total 12 hours. There will be breaks with snacks and drinks available.
❋ 60 minute Post-Intensive Integration
This is designed to help you solidify the experience and plan those next steps.
❋ Continuing the process
You can continue with weekly or bi-weekly trauma sessions. Trauma intensives can be used when you feel stuck in your therapy, need to gain traction, or you just need more time that a weekly session offers.
“The truth that many people never understand, until it is too late, is that the more you try to avoid suffering, the more you suffer.”
